About the race
The Cruel Jewel 50 is a challenging 57.5-mile point-to-point trail race held in the scenic Chattahoochee National Forest in the North Georgia Mountains. Starting in Blairsville and finishing in Blue Ridge, the course features 50 miles of trails and 7.5 miles of mountain roads, with 10 aid stations along the way. Runners navigate technical single-track trails, steep ascents and descents, and natural obstacles like rocks and roots.
Highlights include an historic steel bridge over the Toccoa River, the Dragon's Spine ridge, and lush hardwood forests.
