The Mercier Orchards Winter Wine Run is a timed 5k run/walk at Mercier Orchards, 8660 Blue Ridge Drive, Blue Ridge, GA, held on Saturday, December 6, 2025. The course tours the orchard and uses a mix of roads and trails; it is described as suitable for walkers and runners. Race timing and results are handled by J3 Timing and results will be posted online.
Registration, awards and logistics
Registration includes a ring-spun cotton T-shirt (long sleeve available for an extra fee), a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a wine-glass-shaped finisher medal, and a chip-timed race bib; a pour of wine is provided for eligible participants. Age group awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each age category, with categories extending up to "80 & Over"; awards must be picked up on race day. Minors receive discounted registration but do not receive a wine glass or wine pour. Strollers are allowed though not recommended because of uneven ground; children in strollers may participate free without registration. Dogs are not permitted in U-Pick areas due to USDA rules. Packet pickup is scheduled at Mercier Orchards the day before the race; a race-day pickup option is also available. A virtual participation option is offered, including packet pickup or packet shipment for an additional fee.
