Cupcake Run/Walk for Public Education

The Cupcake Run/Walk for Public Education is an annual event held at Cumberland Park in West Lafayette, Indiana. Celebrating its 10th year in 2025, the event features 5K and 10K races, a Kids Run for ages 12 and under, and a Virtual Challenge. The course utilizes the wide paths of Cumberland Park and includes a scenic loop around a pond in Purdue Research Park.

The race promotes a family-friendly atmosphere with stroller and dog-friendly policies, water stops every 1-2 miles, and volunteer opportunities. Participants can join teams linked to schools, earning mini grants for recess and P.E. equipment.
