Dallas YMCA Turkey Trot

The Dallas YMCA Turkey Trot, held at Dallas City Hall, is the largest Thanksgiving Day running event in the U.S., known as "Dallas' Way to Start Thanksgiving Day." Participants can choose between timed or untimed 8-mile and 5K run/walk options, including youth and virtual categories. The event features a festive atmosphere with a costume contest for runners and dogs, offering YMCA memberships as prizes. The Roost provides a pre-race breakfast and post-race snacks in a comfortable setting.
