Event overview
The Dark Horse 24/48 Hour Ultra Run takes place February 27 - March 1, 2026 at Stable View in Aiken, South Carolina. Event options include:
- 24-hour solo
- 48-hour solo
- 48-hour team relay (2–4 runners)
Entry fees listed are $200 for the 24-hour solo, $350 for the 48-hour solo, and $150 per runner for the 48-hour team relay. The relay rule states that only one runner from each team may be on the course at a time. Registration closes Feb 1.
Course, timing and logistics
The event is held on a 4-mile loop course. Chip timing and live tracking are provided by Zen Arcade Timing, including real-time tracking, lap counting, and splits. Finisher buckles are awarded at 100K, 100 miles, and 150 miles. Personal 10x10 canopies are allowed and vehicle access is available. On-site lodging options include cottages and hunt boxes on the Stable View property; covered sites are listed at $50 for the weekend.
