Day One

Day One is a New Year's Day running event held at Mineola Nature Preserve in Mineola, Texas. The event features a 5K race, a 1-mile untimed walk/run, and a Kid's Dash of 100–200 meters for young participants. Open to runners and walkers of all levels, the 5K offers custom event-themed finisher medals and age group awards, while the 1-mile and Kid's Dash participants receive medals and shirts but no awards.

The course is suitable for all abilities, promoting a festive and inclusive atmosphere to start the year strong. Volunteers can earn free race entries by helping on race day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
