DDLM Endurance Run
The DDLM Endurance Run, held at South Beach State Park in Oregon, is a unique ultramarathon event celebrating the Día de Los Muertos tradition. Participants can choose from multiple race durations including 48, 24, 12, and 6-hour solo runs, as well as 48-hour and 24-hour team relays. The course is a 3,856-meter single loop combining trails and pavement.
A special ofrenda altar allows runners to honor ancestors, adding cultural depth to the race. The event features traditional Aztec dance performances and offers awards such as finisher medals, 50- and 100-mile belt buckles, and team-specific prizes. It fosters a meaningful, festive atmosphere blending endurance running with cultural celebration. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
