Death Valley Trail Marathon
Death Valley Trail Marathon & Half Marathon is staged in Death Valley National Park, Inyo County, California. The event offers a Marathon and a Half Marathon along a single dirt Westside Road through the Badwater Basin. The half is an out-and-back; the marathon completes the route twice.
Turnaround sits near the lowest point in North America; start and finish are near sea level, with the lowest point around -265 to -282 feet. Spectacular desert scenery includes views of Telescope Peak and Artist’s Palette. Limited to 200 participants, the race is non-refundable, with aid stations (water, lemonade, snacks; no energy gels) and no private support, plus shuttle transport from Furnace Creek.
