Decem-burrrr Dash - Event details
The Decem-burrrr Dash is the 8th annual 5K held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, in Benson, North Carolina. The event takes place at West Johnston High School, 5935 Raleigh Rd, Benson, NC 27504. Proceeds support Boy Scout Troop 333 in Johnston County and the Johnston County and West Johnston Developing Leaders Program.
Registration fees are $30 through November 28, 2025, and $35 from November 29 through race day. A race t-shirt is included for participants who register by November 16.
Course and awards
The course is on the West Johnston High School campus. It starts on the track and finishes on the goal line of the football field. The route includes both road and cross-country sections.
Awards are given for overall places and age groups. There are 1st, 2nd, and 3rd overall awards for male and female, a 1st place Masters award for male and female, and 1st through 3rd place awards for male and female in these age groups: 13 and under, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and over.
