Event details
The Gobble Waddle 5K/10K is scheduled for Saturday, November 22, 2025, in Smithfield, NC (218 S. 2nd St., 27577). The event is the 17th annual run/walk and is presented by HealthQuest Fitness and Wellness Center. The race offers two distances:
- 5K
- 10K
Strollers and leashed dogs are allowed. Dog guidelines require friendly dogs kept on a fixed leash and participants are asked to pick up after their pets. The event encourages participants to bring at least five canned food items for donation to local food bank agencies and the SECU Hospice House.
Registration, awards and logistics
Registration fees include a participant t-shirt and medal, a finisher prize for youth under 17, snacks and water, timing services, and transaction fees. Entry fees are non-refundable and t-shirt sizes are allocated first-come, first-served; registrations after October 1 may not receive preferred sizes. Pricing changes after October 1, 2025: the 5K fee increases from $35 to $40 and the 10K fee increases from $45 to $50.
Early packet pickup is available at HealthQuest Fitness & Wellness Center. Awards for the live event will be given by age divisions (6-13, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-99), with top two male and top two female finishers per category and overall first-place male and female prizes for each distance.
