Diablo del Desperado
The Diablo del Desperado is a challenging trail race held at the private Desperado Resort near Boerne, Texas. Scheduled for September 27, 2025, it offers multiple race options including 30K, 10K, and 5K runs, as well as 30K and 10K ruck events. The course features rugged terrain with rocky canyon paths, steep climbs, and singletrack trails through the Texas Hill Country.
Participants face the intense late-September Texas heat but are supported by fully stocked aid stations providing water, electrolytes, fuel, and first aid. After finishing, runners can cool off with a jump into the nearby Guadalupe River. Each finisher receives a medal and race shirt.
