Event overview
The Donut Give Up race takes place on January 25, 2026, at Old Mill Park in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Distances offered:

- 10k
The event counts toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k and Back of the Pack series and toward the Winter Series. A virtual race option is available. Registered participants receive two donut holes, a finisher's medal, a technical (Dri-fit) event shirt, and chip timing. Live results are posted during the race via an online results service, with final results and series points posted the Monday after the event.
Course, services and logistics
The course runs along the Rappahannock River on a paved path with a few small hills. The 5k is an out-and-back course; the 10k follows the 5k course twice. Water stations: five approximately at mile markers 1.1, 2, 3.1, 4.2 and 5.1 on the 10k; two approximately at mile markers 1.1 and 2 on the 5k. Gatorade will be available at some water stations. Restrooms are located near the park parking area.
Awards are given to the top three men and women overall and to first and second place in age groups (19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+); overall top three are not eligible for age-group awards. Packet pickup is available at the event and race day registration is offered; t-shirt sizes are guaranteed only for registrants before January 14.
