Double Dipsea
The Double Dipsea is a challenging 13.7-mile trail race held annually at Stinson Beach, California, celebrating its 55th edition in 2025. The course follows the legendary Dipsea Trail from Stinson Beach to Mill Valley and back, featuring steep hills, numerous stairs, and stunning scenic views. Known for its unique handicapped start times, slower runners begin first and faster runners start last, creating a dynamic race environment with constant passing on narrow single-track trails.
Founded by Walt Stack, the race tests runners' endurance, patience, and adaptability, welcoming participants of all abilities to experience this historic and demanding trail run. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
Always double-check with the organizer's website – things can change, and we might have sprinted past a few details!
