Downtown 5K
The Downtown 5K is a vibrant running event held annually in Providence, Rhode Island, starting at Memorial Boulevard. Scheduled for September 14, 2025, it features a 5K race along with youth races for children aged 1 to 10, divided by age groups and gender, with distances of 100 yards and a quarter mile. The event offers chip timing and provides T-shirts for all participants.
Walkers are welcome but must start at the back, and pets are not allowed for safety. Awards are given across various age categories and for team competitions. Parking is available at Providence Place, and pre-race packet pickup is offered to ease race day logistics.
