Dr. Sandra McCalla Gator Run
The Dr. Sandra McCalla Gator Run is the 24th annual Captain Shreve Gator Run held on November 15, 2025 in Shreveport, LA at Lee Hedges Stadium - Captain Shreve High School (6115 East Kings Hwy, Shreveport, LA 71105). The event includes a 5K race and a "Sleep in Supporter" option. The 5K course starts and finishes on the stadium track and runs through the local neighborhood.
Registration, packet pickup and awards
Entry fees for the 5K are tiered: $30 until November 9, $35 November 10-14, and $40 on race day. The price increases after November 8. The Sleep in Supporter entry fee is $30 until November 15. Participants who register by midnight on November 5 are guaranteed a race shirt. Packets for pre-registered participants are available at Sportspectrum on November 13 and 14, with additional packet pickup on race morning at Lee Hedges Stadium.
Overall male and female finishers receive a cash award. First, second and third place male and female finishers in each age group also receive awards. Age groups are: 13 and under; 14-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70 and over. A post-race awards ceremony and door prizes are part of the event.
