Event overview
The Elves for the Shelves 5K, Walk, and Fun Run takes place on Saturday, December 6, 2025, in Wayne, PA at Radnor Memorial Library. The event supports Radnor Memorial Library; funds raised help the library provide programs, collections, space, and other resources for the community. The 5K is noted as the 12th annual edition and the event is part of the traditional Christmas in Wayne activities.
Participants may form family or company teams and set individual or team fundraising goals. Incentive prizes are offered for those who raise or donate $100+, $300+, or $500+, and qualifying fundraisers are listed on a Thank You Banner at the event.
Events and course details
- 5K - timed race, starts and finishes in front of Radnor Memorial Library
- 0.5 mile - Fun Run/Walk, stroller and wheelchair accessible
- 2.3 miles - Walk, stroller and wheelchair accessible
- Virtual - run or walk from any location
The 5K is professionally timed by Bryn Mawr Racing Company. Prizes are awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd overall finishers and to the top three finishers in each age group (6 & under; 7-9; 10-12; 13-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70+). All children 12 and under in the Fun Run/Walk receive a finish medal, and Santa will be in attendance. Packet pick up is available at the library the day before or on race morning. Free parking is available in Wayne; West Wayne Ave will be closed during the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
