EMC DAM to DSM

The EMC DAM to DSM is a celebrated half marathon held annually in Iowa, starting at the scenic Saylorville Dam in Polk City and finishing in downtown Des Moines. Since 1980, over 135,000 runners have participated in this iconic event, which covers a half marathon distance through rural Polk County's fields and neighborhoods along the Des Moines River. The course features a unique start atop the dam with views of the city skyline and concludes with a festive finish line party at Cowles Commons near the Des Moines Civic Center.
