Event overview
The Emerald Bay Trail Run is scheduled for September 12, 2026. The race is a point-to-point trail run of approximately 7 mile / 11 km. It begins at Eagle Point, follows the Rubicon Trail around Emerald Bay, passes through D.L. Bliss State Park, and finishes at Lester Beach. The route is mostly single track with moderate climbs and descents and includes sections with natural granite steps.

The course runs inside Emerald Bay State Park, a protected area of about 1,830 acres with rocky and sandy shoreline, varied conifer species, and scenic viewpoints such as Rubicon Point and Eagle Falls. Event services listed include packet pick up, an event T-shirt, finishing medal, free digital race photo, recovery snacks and cold beverages, medical staff, and a shuttle back to the start. Parking is available at Eagle Point Campground; an event shuttle runs from the finish area to the start. Participants may also park at D.L. Bliss for a fee and arrange their own transport. Registration fees vary by date and category; online processing fees are not included. Discounted entry is offered for certain groups as noted by the organizer.
