Event overview
The Encinitas Turkey Trot takes place on November 27, 2025 in Encinitas, California, at South Coast Highway 101 and West D Street, with the course starting and finishing under the ENCINITAS sign. The event includes multiple race options and a kids course.

Logistics and race details
A costume contest awards cash prizes of $300, $200 and $100 for the top three places in both individual and group divisions. Packet pick-up is available at Road Runner Sports in Carlsbad; participants are strongly encouraged to pick up bibs and shirts before race day. Water stations are provided throughout the course and at the start and finish lines. Gear check will not be provided.
The event supports VANC, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving veterans, and will provide grants to VANC and Boy Scouts of America Troop 776. Parking is available at Moonlight Beach, Encinitas City Library, Encinitas City Hall, and on 2nd and 3rd Streets. Strollers are allowed; pets and wheeled devices such as bikes or skateboards are not permitted. Results are available through SVE timing after the event.
