Falcon Crest Winter Trail Challenge

Falcon Crest Winter Trail Challenge takes place in the foothills of El Dorado Hills, California, at the Falcon Crest Parking Lot / Monte Vista Trailhead near Folsom Lake. The event offers six distances: 5K, 10K, 15K, half marathon, 30K, and a trail marathon. Runners navigate dirt and rocks on mostly single-track trails with rolling hills, some shaded sections, and occasional exposure.

A creek crossing is part of the course. Distances may vary slightly, with some routes using combined or out-and-back formats. Aid stations are staffed, drop bags are available, and finishers receive a medal.
