About the race
NorCal Backyard Ultra returns to Beals Point at Folsom Lake, near Granite Bay, CA, for its third edition. Two formats: Last Person Standing (4.2-mile loop, hourly until one remains) and Mini Last Person Standing (24 hours). The scenic course runs on rolling singletrack with lakefront views.
No on-course aid; a fully stocked aid station is at Beals Point, and finishers receive a hoodie and a wood-carved award (100-mile finishers earn a bronze belt buckle). New for 2025: cash prizes for the Last Person Standing and support via The Unity Initiative with nonprofit partners. The event emphasizes endurance, strategy, and community.
