About the race
Sunset & Cider Trail Races take place in Auburn, California, at Ponderosa Cider Co. The event offers 50K, 13.1-mile, and 5-mile trail distances. The 50K includes two out-and-back segments on the American River with runnable single-track and about 3,900 feet of climbing, aided by four stations.
The 13.1-mile course uses two out-and-back loops around the canyon rim with aid at select points. The 5-mile out-and-back follows the first stretch of the 13.1 course and welcomes walkers, with no aid stations. Enjoy sunset, live music, and free cider, plus a commemorative cider glass and shirt.
The Unity Initiative supports nonprofits, and top finishers receive a wood plaque. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
