Event overview
The Gold Rush Growler is a trail running event by TBF Racing at Granite Beach, Folsom Lake SRA with new courses for 2026. Distances offered:

- 5K (3.1 miles)
Race entries include a finisher beer glass and post-race ice-cold local IPA for athletes 21 years and older. Commemorative race shirts are available for $20. The event is held rain or shine. TBF Racing describes itself as the Sacramento area's multi-sport racing and training specialists since 1991.
Course and logistics
Both races start and finish at Granite Beach and follow shoreline and single-track trails. The 5K heads north from the south end of Granite Beach toward Oak Point and Old County, then returns on a mix of new and existing trails. The 10 mile course follows park roads and trails north to Oak Point, loops Doton’s Point, goes toward Nude Beach and Beeks Bight, uses the Jedi Trail and Original Climb to Dee’s Tree, and returns via the Flow Trail and other trails.
Aid stations are located at Mile 2 (Doton’s Point), Mile 4.5 (Beeks Bight), and Mile 7.5 (Old County) and supply water, FLUID performance electrolyte drink, and Hammer Gel. Listening devices are allowed; runners must exercise caution at road crossings and on trails. Packet pickup is available race morning from 6:30 to 8:00 at the race site. Age divisions run in ten-year groups from 19 and under to 70+ with awards for overall winners and three deep in each age group. TBF Racing has a no refund policy; pre-race-week refunds are issued as race credit minus a $25 processing fee. Transfers are allowed within one year for a $25 fee.
