Jefferson Turkey Can Run

The Turkey Can Run is an annual 5K race held every Thanksgiving Day in Jefferson, Georgia, hosted by First Baptist Church Jefferson. Now in its 17th year, this event benefits the FBC Jefferson Food Bank, which supports hundreds of families in Jackson County. The race course runs through Historic Downtown Jefferson and is USA Track and Field certified, also serving as a qualifier for the prestigious Peachtree Road Race in Atlanta.

Participants pay a $15 entry fee plus donate 15 canned food items, contributing directly to the food bank. The event features awards across various age groups and categories, with packet pickup and canned good drop-off available before race day. Parking is provided nearby at Jefferson High School.
