About the race
Turkey Can Run is the First Baptist Church Jefferson’s 17th annual Thanksgiving Morning 5K in Jefferson, Georgia. The event supports the FBC Jefferson Food Bank, aiding Jackson County families. It features a USA Track & Field certified 5K course through Historic Downtown Jefferson and serves as the county’s largest 5K and the only Peachtree Road Race qualifier in Jackson County.
In 2024, 1,069 registered runners participated. Entry is $15 plus 15 canned goods, with proceeds benefiting the Food Bank. Parking is at Jefferson High School; race day registration and packet pickup occur at the church.
