Event overview
The Feaster Five is the 38th annual Thanksgiving Day road race held in Andover, Massachusetts. It is presented by Schneider Electric and hosted by the Merrimack Valley Striders running club. The event supports local charities and scholarship programs; proceeds benefit Bellesini Academy, the Merrimack Valley YMCA, the Merrimack Valley Striders High School Scholarship Fund, and the Sidney Mae Olson Rainbow Fund. The race typically draws over 7,000 participants. Finishers receive a Table Talk apple pie while supplies last, and the first 5,000 registrants are guaranteed a long-sleeved race shirt.
Race format and logistics

The kids program is called Sidney’s Rainbow Run and uses the Balmoral Street track. There are three kids course options: a 60 meter mini/inclusive course, a 400 meter short course on the track, and a 1 kilometer loop that uses grass and track. The race expo and bib/shirt pick up take place at the Andover/North Andover YMCA on the days before Thanksgiving. Volunteer roles are used throughout the expo and race, and a Couch-to-5K training program meets on Sundays starting October 5 for eight weeks at the race start.
