First Steps, Big Dreams 5k
The First Steps, Big Dreams 5k is scheduled for November 15, 2025 in Georgetown, Delaware. The event takes place at Sandhill Fields on Sand Hill Road. The event provides tee shirts, post-race refreshments, and music. Timing is chip-based using the MYLAPS BibTag system operated by R2R Timing. Top finisher awards for overall male/female and overall male/female masters are scored by gun time; all other age groups are scored by chip (net) time. Awards include top male/female, top masters, top three in 10-year age groups (13 & under through 70 & over), and top three male/female walkers. Bibs are non-transferable. No dogs are allowed due to insurance liability. There are no refunds on registrations. Results will be posted online during the race and complete results will be posted after the event.
