About the race
Located in Flat Rock, Michigan, the Grateful Gallop offers a 5k Run/Walk and a 1-Mile Run/Walk, starting and finishing at the Flat Rock Community Center (1 Maguire). The largely paved course follows local roads and the Downriver Linked Greenways path. The event welcomes competitive and recreational runners and walkers alike, with swag awarded to all finishers.
It also supports local causes, collecting canned food for Helping Hands food pantry and pet food for the Flat Rock Animal Shelter via a raffle. Packet pickup accompanies a community Thanksgiving morning tradition with officially timed races, shirts for early registrants, and post-race refreshments.
