Event overview

Forgotten Florida takes place January 31 - February 1, 2026 in Christmas, Florida. Distances offered are:

  • 100 mile
  • 50 mile
  • 15 mile
  • 8 mile

The 100 and 50 mile races are point-to-point courses. The 50 mile follows the first 50 miles of the 100 mile course. The 15 mile and 8 mile races are single loops held on Sunday.

Course, services and policies

Courses use trails in Tosohatchee, Charles Bronson State Forest, Seminole Ranch and Little Big Econ State Forest. Routes are mainly single-track through palm groves and pine flatwoods, with some mud, grass and roots. The 100 and 50 mile courses are about 80% trail, with approximately 2 miles of pavement. The 100 mile includes a 25 mile out-and-back section with crew access for the final 50 miles.

Cutoff times are: 34 hours for the 100 mile, 16 hours for the 50 mile, 5 hours for the 15 mile (with a 3.25 hour cutoff at about mile 10 aid station), and 3 hours for the 8 mile. Runners may see a variety of birds on course, including herons, cranes, bald eagles and spoonbills; the organizer notes the route is not a swamp run. Volunteers receive free race entries, which are transferable. Swag guarantees for early registrants include items for 100, 50, 15 and 8 mile participants as listed by the organizer.
