Course, support and policies

The courses run through Tosohatchee, Charles Bronson State Forest, Seminole Ranch, Little Big Econ State Forest and nearby trails. The 100 and 50 mile courses are point-to-point; the 50 mile is the first 50 miles of the 100. The 100/50 courses are about 80% trail with approximately 2 miles of pavement. The 100 mile includes a 25 mile out-and-back section with crew access for the final 50 miles. The 15 and 8 mile races are single loops.

Trails are mainly single track through palm groves and pine flatwoods. Wildlife observations, especially many bird species, are common. The terrain may include mud, grass and roots but is not described as a swamp run. Cutoff times are: 34 hours for 100 mi, 16 hours for 50 mi, 5 hours for 15 mi (with a 3.25 hour cutoff at the mile 10 aid station), and 3 hours for 8 mi. Registered runners by 12/15 are guaranteed certain swag items. Volunteer roles can earn free race entries. Refund and transfer policies vary by distance and by timing relative to the event date.
