Event details
For the 48th year the Greater Springfield Harriers will host the Big Fourth 5K in downtown Springfield, Massachusetts. The race starts and finishes at the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, 1000 W Columbus Ave, Springfield, MA 01105. The course is a flat out-and-back on road and the Springfield River Walk.

Registration and logistics
Online registration opens January 16, 2026 and online registration closes Wednesday, July 3 at 6pm. Entry fees listed are $25 for the adult 5K and $20 for the student 5K. The adult event is open to ages 18 to 99. The student event is open to ages 1 to 17. There is no early shirt and bib pickup at the Fast Feet stores this year; packet pickup and late registration will be available on race morning.
