The Fox River Challenge : overview
The Fox River Challenge takes place on May 9, 2026 in Wrightstown, WI, with the start/finish located in the Fox River District near the Fox River at 108 High Circle. The event offers a duathlon and a standalone 5k run/walk. The duathlon is open to individual competitors or 2-person teams and the main event is open to ages 9 and up. Registration fees listed are $60 for the duathlon and $40 for the 5k only.
Course, distances and logistics
The duathlon follows three legs:
- 5k run/walk (out-and-back along the eastern shore on Hwy ZZ)
- 15-mile bike (along the western shore on Los Dauphin Road into Little Rapids and De Pere)
- 1 mile run (final loop through a Wrightstown neighborhood, returning to the start/finish)
Participants transition through a start/stop arch and cross a bridge on the bike leg. Mile markers and community sponsors will be present along the course. Timing is provided by XM TIMING. Packet pick-up is at The River Coffee & Cream, 104 High Ct., Wrightstown, with sessions on Friday and early Saturday. The route is the same as the previous year.
