Franklin Mountains Trail Runs, part of the Human Potential Running Series, takes place in Franklin Mountains State Park near El Paso, Texas, with Tom Mays Unit as the Start/Finish. The event offers several distances: 12-Hour, King/Queen of the Mountain, 55k, 30k, Half Marathon, 10k and 5k, attracting up to 250 runners per day. Runners trek from the desert floor to North Franklin Peak (7,192 ft), circling the rugged range for a true mountain challenge.
