Fred Lutzke Memorial 5k Race

The Fred Lutzke Memorial 5k Race and Walk is a Battle Creek, Michigan event featuring a 5k run/walk through Wattles Park and the Ott Biological Preserve. Start and finish are at Battle Creek Friends Church (1305 Olive Street). The self-timed course welcomes walkers, runners, strollers, and leashed dogs.

Proceeds benefit Love Thy Neighbor Food Pantry and its Backpack program, supporting families and children through the South Michigan Food Bank and Battle Creek Community Foundation. Participants help provide backpacks for eight local children. After the race, there are snacks and guaranteed shirts for early registrants, with race-day registration allowed.
