About the race
The Freedom Ride Animal Rescue 5k Fun Run & 1 Mile Walk & Wag is a charitable race held in Monmouth, Illinois. In its second year, the event features a 5K run and a 1-mile Walk & Wag, with both starting and finishing at First Christian Church, 514 N Sunny Ln. Well-behaved pets on leashes are welcome, and on-site restrooms are available.
Medals are awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers in the 5K for Men, Women, and 17 & Under, plus a prize for the first dog and for the top virtual finisher. A Virtual 5K runs Sept 26–Oct 10. Packet pickup is after 8 am race day.
Fees: 5K $25, 1 Mile $20; children 6 and under free in the 1-mile with a registered adult. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
