Event overview
The Freedom Run takes place on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at the ECU North Recreational Complex, 3764 US-264, Greenville, NC 27834. The event was created to honor the life of an individual who died and to give the community a way to respond to that passing with a positive, unifying activity. The race also aims to raise awareness against violence and discrimination.

Registration, fees and awards
Registration fees listed are: 5K : $40 (ECU students $25) and Fun Run for Kids : $20. Participants who register by October 20 are guaranteed a shirt size; sizes after that date are subject to availability. Proceeds from the event will be donated to charities supported by the individual being honored, and organizers will work with Turning Point USA to distribute funds to non-profit organizations.
Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers and the top three male and female finishers in the age categories: 0-9, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
