Freedom Run: The Race Against Poverty is scheduled for Saturday, May 2, 2026, in Wesley Chapel, Florida. The event will take place at Wesley Chapel District Park, located at 7321 Boyette Rd, Wesley Chapel, FL 33545. The race offers both in-person and virtual options, with the following events:
- 5k Run/Walk
- 10k Run
- VIRTUAL - 5k Run/Walk
- VIRTUAL - 10k Run
Entry fees listed on the event page include $30 for the 5k, $40 for the 10k, and $25 for each virtual distance. Prices for the in-person events increase after December 31, 2025.
Purpose and race features
This is the 10th annual Freedom Run. The event is a timed race and provides a finisher medal for each participant. Awards include a first place trophy for overall male and female finishers and first-place age group awards. Net proceeds are used to support projects that build homes and facilities for communities living in extreme poverty.
