Freeze Your Gizzard 5K - Leesburg

Freeze Your Gizzard 5K and 1 Mile is held at Ida Lee Park in Leesburg, Virginia. Celebrating 23 years of running, this cross-country event offers a 5K through Ida Lee Park’s 138 acres and a 1-Mile Fun Run, starting and finishing near the park’s Gazebo. The course features uneven terrain and steep hills, with no dogs, wagons, or baby strollers allowed for safety.

A self-serve water refill station is available on course, and runners are encouraged to bring their own bottle. Perks include a long-sleeve performance shirt for pre-registered 5K runners and post-race refreshments. The event also supports Loudoun Hunger Relief during November.
