Fresh Wave 1/24/26 - event details
The Fresh Wave event is an inaugural fundraiser on Saturday, January 24, 2026, benefiting the SoCal Pacific Islander Community Response Team (SoCal PICRT). The event offers multiple distances and provides a finisher medal and a goodie bag to all finishers. Results are usually posted on the event page by the evening of race day.

Course, logistics and fees
The course uses the Long Beach beach path in Belmont Shores, with check-in near 54th Place and Ocean Blvd at 5400 E. Ocean Blvd., Long Beach, CA 90803. The route is an open course on the beach path and will use marked out-and-back loops. The aid station is at the turnaround near the start/finish and supplies water cups, water bottles, Gatorade cups, and GU gels. Parking is free in the residential area; the beach parking lot is paid.
Loop details: the 5k is an out-and-back route, the 10k is two 5k loops, the 15k is three 5k loops, and the half marathon is three 4.36-mile loops. The half marathon has a 3:15 time limit; runners needing additional time can request options in advance. Registration is available via PayPal or Active, with early bird, race month, and race day pricing tiers. Transfers are allowed by request; there is a no-refund policy.
