About the race
The Friends of McCormick's Creek 5K Run/Walk is an annual event held at McCormick's Creek State Park in Spencer, Indiana. This 20th edition features a fast 5K course with rolling hills, part of the Mag 7 Series. Participants can choose between a 5K run or walk, with awards for top overall finishers and age group winners.
The race supports preservation and recreational projects within the park. Packet pickup occurs at the Nature Center on race day, followed by refreshments and an awards ceremony. A post-race pancake and sausage breakfast is available for purchase.
