Event
The Friends of McCormick's Creek will host the 20th annual 5K road race on Saturday, April 18, 2026 in Spencer, Indiana. The race is part of the Mag 7 Series and takes place on a course with rolling hills inside McCormick's Creek State Park. Proceeds will fund projects and events to preserve, restore, manage, and interpret the park's natural and cultural heritage and recreational opportunities.

Entry fee for each event is $25. Online registration closes April 17, 2026 at 2:00pm EDT. Race-day registration will be $30 (cash or check only) at the Nature Center on April 18, 2026. Packet pick-up is at the Nature Center on race day from 7:00am to 8:15am. Prizes are given to top male and female overall runners and walkers; age group awards are given to the top two winners in the 5K Run and the first age group winners in the 5K Walk. Participants who register before April 3, 2026 may receive a race shirt; shirts are available while supplies last after April 2. A post-race pancakes and sausage breakfast is available for $5; orders should be placed by April 15, 2026.
