Event overview
The Funest 50k at Carter Rd is set for April 18, 2026 in Mulberry, Florida at Loyce E. Harpe Park (300 W Carter Rd). The event offers these distances:

- 10k
Entry is limited to 100 runners across the distances. Awards will be given to the top three overall men and women and to the first master man and woman. Every finisher receives socks, a finisher sticker, and an award. Ten dollars from each registration is designated for Polk County Parks and Recreation to help maintain the park. Food is available at the start/finish area, including quesadillas, hot dogs, hamburgers, bacon, chicken for longer distances, and later pulled pork or brisket.
Course and logistics
All courses use the mountain bike trails at Loyce E. Harpe Park. The terrain includes rolling hills, sand and dirt trails, and sections through an old abandoned phosphate mine area. The layout is a 10k loop, with three loops for the 30k and five loops for the 50k. The course is marked with over 600 markers. Aid is provided at the start area and at an aid station near the 3.5 mile point; supplies include electrolytes, soda, and water. A 10-hour cutoff applies (equivalent to a 19:20 per mile pace).
