Event details
The Garland Turkey Trot is scheduled for Thursday, November 27, 2025, at Audubon Park, 342 W. Oates Rd., Garland, TX 75043. The event offers multiple race options:
- 8 Mile
- 5K
- Kid's Dash (100–200 meter sprint)
Early packet pick-up is offered the day before the event on Wednesday, November 26. Course maps for the 8M (two laps) and 5K are available online.
Awards, registration and programs
Registration includes an event-themed participation t-shirt. Finishers in the 5K and 8M receive a 4 inch finisher medal and are eligible for age-group awards. Age-group awards are given three deep in male and female divisions: 0-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. Overall male and female winners, masters (40+) and grand masters (60+) receive gold medals and an event-themed plaque. Awards are distributed at the event and will not be shipped.
The Kid's Dash participants receive participation shirts and may add a finisher medal. Volunteer positions are available; volunteers receive a code for a free future race entry. The organizer also operates a points program that awards 1 point per kilometer and additional points for placings; accumulated points can be redeemed for discounted or free entries into the Champions' Run.
