Gateway to Space is scheduled for March 7, 2026 at the Launch and Landing Facility (formerly Shuttle Landing Facility) at Kennedy Space Center. The event is hosted in partnership with Space Florida and benefits the American Cancer Society. The racecourse is USATF certified: 5K - FL23017JK and 10K - FL23016JK.

Entry and fundraising
In-person participation is restricted to U.S. citizens aged 12 years and older. No spectators are permitted for the in-person race. Registration pricing for the 5K and 10K increases after January 4, 2026. Virtual Challenge registration closes March 4, 2026. Posted base prices are $50 for the 5K and $60 for the 10K at the time shown.
The event supports the American Cancer Society. Fundraising rewards are offered at various levels. Participants who raise $250 or more are eligible for a full refund of their race registration fee. A referral reward is available: referring five friends or family who complete registration can earn a $25 refund. The event shows $3,424 raised toward a $10,000 fundraising goal.
