Get Roasted Turkey Trot 5k
The Get Roasted Turkey Trot takes place on Thursday, November 27, 2025, at Kohlman Park Shelter in Waverly, IA 50677. The event is the second annual Thanksgiving morning trot and uses the park trails. The program includes a 5k and a separate KIDS DASH for children age 10 and under. Registration for events closes November 25, 2025.
Event details
The 5k is a timed race. The kids dash is an untimed dash for ages 10 and under. Entry fees listed are $35 for the 5k and $0 for the kids dash. A portion of the event profits will go to Waverly Cedar Valley Friends of The Family.
Race amenities include a custom race bib, a designer shirt and a finisher stocking cap for the 5k, overall finisher awards, and hot cocoa and coffee at the finish area. Participants who register by November 3 at midnight are guaranteed a shirt for the 5k. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
