About the race
Gobbler Wobbler 5K and 5 Mile is Lapeer, Michigan’s Thanksgiving morning run, offering a Gobbler Wobbler 5 Mile and a Turkey Leg 5K. The low-key course winds through Mott Community College, behind Lapeer Lightning Stadium, and scenic neighborhoods before turning onto M24 and finishing on M21 back to Mott College. The route is marked with cones, roads stay open, and participants yield to traffic.
Not chip-timed, finishers receive medals, with snacks and beverages at the end. Proceeds benefit the community, and three random prize drawings from local businesses add extra excitement. Maps are available via Strava routes.
