Event overview
The Santa Run Presented by Al Serra Auto Plaza takes place on Saturday, December 6, 2025, in Flint, Michigan at the YMCA of Greater Flint - Downtown Branch (719 Harrison St.). The event program includes these distances:
- 5k Run/Walk
- 1 Mile Run/Walk
- 1/4 mile Reindeer Run
- Child entry (12 years or younger) for the 1 Mile or 5k
All events are organized as fun runs and are not timed. Each participant receives a five-piece Santa suit and a Santa Run finisher medal. The kids Reindeer Run is approximately 1/4 mile around the block of the YMCA, includes reindeer antlers, and is scheduled to finish before the 5k and 1 mile so participants may enter both the Reindeer Run and a longer event.
Course, amenities and prizes
The 5k and 1 mile start from the corner on 3rd Street and both routes include a milk, cookie and water stop. The courses finish at 3rd Street and Harrison. Post-event refreshments (coffee, milk, water and cookies) and portable toilets are available in the parking lot of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. Strollers and wagons are welcome but are asked to start toward the back. The fastest male and female "santas" in the 5k, while wearing the full Santa outfit (jacket, pants, hat and beard), will receive a one-year adult membership to the YMCA of Greater Flint.
