About the race
The Golden Helix 5K is a 3.1-mile open-road race around Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, Tennessee. The professionally timed course loops the TTU campus, with free parking along Stadium Drive near STEM Center and Stonecipher Lecture Hall. Organized by the ASBMB Student Affiliates with SMACS and the Chem-Med Club, the event is co-sponsored by TTU's SOLO Fund to enable student entrants at no cost.
Proceeds support ASBMB and SMACS clubs and Upper Cumberland RAM Clinic at Cookeville High School. TTU students can race for free with a student ID and code, while registration is online.
