Event overview
The Gorge après Gorge is an annual trail event at Chesterfield Gorge Reservation, River Road, Chesterfield, MA. The 2025 edition is scheduled for Sunday, November 30, 2025. The event has been held on the Sunday after Thanksgiving since 2005. Registration fees benefit Hilltown Land Trust. The main offerings are a timed 5k trail run, a free family fun walk, and a new kid’s race. All finishers receive locally baked cookie medals and top finishers receive handmade knitted hats. A community potluck with hot beverages follows the run. Members of Hilltown Land Trust or The Trustees are eligible for a $5 discount on advance individual registration.

Course and logistics
The course is a well-marked dirt fire road along the Wild and Scenic Westfield River. The out-and-back route is described as slightly hilly and rocky and starts at Chesterfield Gorge. Participants are encouraged to bring reusable mugs; hot chocolate, coffee, and tea are available at the finish with potluck items. Dogs are asked to stay at home. Volunteers support event tasks such as tending fires, timing the race, and handing out cookie medals. Pre-registration is requested to help plan the family fun walk.
