46th Annual Great Pumpkin Run 5K & Tiny Tot Pumpkin Trot

The event takes place on October 25, 2025 at Larson Middle School on Oakland Avenue in Columbus, Ohio and is sponsored by Grandview Heights Parks & Recreation. Distances offered:

  • 5K (3.1 miles)
  • Tiny Tot Pumpkin Trot (free for children 6 and under; held before the 5K)

The 5K runs on a closed road course through the neighborhoods of Grandview Heights. The course has an approximate halfway water station and water at the finish. Packet pick-up is available the day before at the Parks and Recreation office (1661 Goodale) and on event day inside the middle school commons. Parking is available in the lot off Fairview Avenue (1272 Fairview Ave); the Oakland Avenue parking lot will be closed. Registration lists a $30 fee for the 5K and no fee for the Tiny Tot. Event shirts are provided to early registrants with a size guarantee by October 5. Proceeds support Grandview Heights recreational and educational programs. The event is held rain or shine.

Gourdy's Pumpkin Run: Columbus

Gourdy’s Pumpkin Run takes place on October 25, 2025 at Genoa Park (303 W Broad St, Columbus, OH). The event features a 5K (3.1 miles) run or walk through downtown Columbus. Registration includes a 2025 lightweight tech hoodie, finisher's medal, commemorative race bib with chip timing, a cup of apple cider at the finish, and a small pumpkin. The event supports Girls on the Run. An optional "Tough Pumpkin" add-on lets participants carry a pumpkin during the 5K (pumpkin sizes up to about ten pounds) and earn an additional Tough Pumpkin medal. Volunteer benefits include a choice of free race registration or a donation to Girls on the Run, a volunteer shirt and beanie, and light snacks.
