About the race
GRAVEYARD GALLOP 5K is a 5K road race held in Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina, organized by the SOHO Running Club to benefit the Grissettown Volunteer Fire Department District 31. The course features costumed volunteers along the route and at the water stop, creating a spooky, festival-like atmosphere. Proceeds support local emergency services, with concessions provided by the fire department and access to the Haunted Trail.
Participants receive a race shirt (guaranteed if registered by September 14) and a finishers medal. Cash prizes go to the top overall, masters, grand master, and top finishers in age groups.
