About the race
The Medal Madness event at Appomattox River in Colonial Heights, VA, offers 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon distances along scenic out-and-back courses starting at the Appomattox River Greenway Roslyn Landing. The 5K completes one loop, the 10K two loops, and the Half Marathon four loops of their respective courses. Runners enjoy a friendly atmosphere with encouraged costume participation and a group photo at the start, with awards for the best costume.
