Medal Madness at James Wilson Park
The Medal Madness event takes place on December 6, 2025 at James Wilson Park, 2205 Curtis B Elliot Dr, Temple, TX 76501. The event is organized by US Road Running and is centered next to the Wilson Park Recreation Center. All participants must register on RunSignup; there is no on-site registration.
Distances and course

- 10K
- Half Marathon
The 5K and 10K use an out-and-back course listed as 3.11 miles for the full out-and-back. The 5K completes that out-and-back once; the 10K completes it two times. The Half Marathon uses a separate out-and-back of 3.28 miles and completes that out-and-back four times. The event has a course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes.
Finisher medals are offered. The event also includes a shirt and gear shop, a best costume feature, series points, and awards. Frequently asked questions and additional event information are handled by the organizer. Packet pickup opens 30 minutes before the race and closes 10 minutes before the race start.
